Our 2010 kids have arrived!

Kids are from ADGA registered parents, and may be registered by the new owners. All necessary paperwork will be provided.The kids are all bottle fed. We have found this to be the best way to ensure that they receive the proper nutrition and that they are tame and like being handled.

Bottling Feeding Kids

We are often asked about bottling feeding kids. Here is what we do. Our kids seem to thrive, and are healthy and full of themselves!

Age Feed Daily Amount
Birth through 3 days Colostrum 4 oz - 3 to 4 times daily
Next 4 days Whole goat milk 4-6 oz - 3 times daily
2nd-3rd weeks

Whole goat milk-add a coccidistat to
milk(Co-Rid or Di-Methox) at least once
a week starting at 3 weeks

1 to 1 1/2 pints- 2 times daily

High quality hay

Free Choice
16-18% grain What is cleaned up in 20 min-2 times daily
Water, Salt, Goat Mineral Free choice

4 weeks to weaning (approx 8 weeks or until goat is observed chewing its cud)

Whole goat milk, part or all milk replacer
(all milk base at least 20% protien
and 20% fat-dilute replacer with twice the amount of water)

1 to 1 1/2 pints- 2 times daily
High quality hay Free Choice
